Will: 9 Months

Look out world! Here I come!

I am considering calling these post “The week late posts” since I can never seem to get it together on time. With all the vacation and traveling we’re honestly lucky these lovely photo shoots are happening at all!

Well yall…my sweet baby boy is NINE months and three months shy of being a 1 year old! I may just crawl up in the closet and cry my eyes out. But seriously, I LOVE this stage. More independence, more interactive and sooo much personality. Each month seriously just gets better and better!

The Skinny on Mr. Will:
Weight: 21lbs 2oz (75% percentile)
Height: 29inches (75%percentile)
Head: 44.4cm (60 percentile)

Eating: Will continues to kill it on the solids and is now completely on finger foods. Right about the 8 month mark he started trying to grab the spoon out of my hand and lean in to grab food off our plates…so we knew it was time. He eats EVERYTHING! Cheese, Avocados, Yogurt, Carrots, Peas, lots of cantaloupe and watermelon and even chicken! Each day he gets more on his mouth and less on the floor and I couldn’t be more proud.  As for bottles, he still takes 4 a day but now takes closer to 6oz at each feed since most of his calories are now coming from his big boy food!

Sleeping: These are what I like to call The Glory Days! Days at one time I could only dream of. We put Will to bed at 7:30pm and I go get him up between 7:30am and 7:45! Hallelujah! He still takes two 1 ½ hour naps.

Milestones: This has been a BIG month. Will continues to speed crawl and scale the furniture. He loves circling the coffee table. He has even started to stand on his own for a few seconds before he realizes he’s not holding on and then he plops down.  He now holds his own bottles yay! And says dadada, bababa and has started to become more and more verbal. He loves for me to call Dada on my cell phone and let him “talk to dada” on speakerphone and continues to be the happiest kid. He still HATES having his diaper changes or clothes changed. You would seriously think we are abusing the child with how he reacts! But other than that he is growing beautifully!

Here’s a few more shots...

and this folks is how Will really feels about having his pictures taken!

at least we ended with a smile!

I promise next month to be more prompt to post!He H

Pierce Family Beach Vacation

A little over a week ago my fam headed down to Myrtle Beach for our traditional beach vacation at the Marriott Grande Dunes. Clearly, our little man was excited to get packed up and ready to go on his first trip to the Ocean!
Will thought getting to play on top of all the luggage and laundry was the best thing EVER!

Zak walked Will out on to the beach and Will was taking it all in...

We sat him down as soon as we got near the water to see what he would think of the sand...

Because this was a first most of the pictures we got Will has a very serious face as if he is thinking "what is this stuff?"

Pop came down to join the little rugrat on his new adventure!

Into the ocean...to ride some waves...well in a few more years!

Zak told everyone on the first day that he didn't need to wear sunscreen....hahahaha

Then we headed back up to the pool to play with cousin Lucy and hang with Cee Cee and Pop!

Bathtime...

"Momma, do you think I could marry Lucy? I love her..."

and now I would like to tackle her!

What a fun trip! I wish I had taken a group shot but with two VERY mobile little one's there wasn't much time for photo shoots! We were lucky to get the one's we did!

Tina's Wedding!

Two weeks ago, Shaina and Gerry and Zak and I headed down to Charleston for our dear friend Tina's wedding weekend. Tina has been a close friend since 8th grade and we are so thrilled that she got hitched to this handsome fellow below. (Big Will...as oppose to my baby Will)

This was out first time leaving my sweet baby boy and it was way harder than I ever imagined it to be! Tears were definitely shed pulling out of my in-laws drive way! The trip down was a ton of fun...I honestly haven't laughed that hard in a very looong time thanks to good ole' Gerry! Always hours of entertainment! We arrived just in time to check in to our hotel and head to the rehearsal ( Shaina and I were readers in the ceremony)

After the rehearsal we headed to a nice restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston for a yummy rhearsal dinner. It was record temperatures that weekend so we were all sporting the shiny look.

Saturday the rest of the gang arrived for the wedding and we met up for lunch at my FAVORITE restaurant, Magnolias! It was delicious!

The Pineview house recaptured! (The 6 of us all lived in a house together in college!)
We had a wonderful time, but I was VERY ready to get home to my little man! Once we arrived home it was as if Will just realized that we could leave him and he burst into tears...that marked the beginning of separation anxiety! Congratulations sweet Tina!
